I was assigned to create a proposal for the rebranding of Little People's College. This proposal would include a thorough brand study, as well as a new logo and accompanying branding guidelines.
The purpose of the redesign was not to make an entirely new brand but instead to refresh the existing LPC identity.
At Little People's College, students are encouraged to pursue their own interests, develop friendships, and grow in confidence, independence, and respect for themselves and others.
Before my initial client meeting, I conducted studies on LPC's original branding, as well as similar brands/companies that share the same target audience to identify elements that lead to success.
With the use of client feedback from multiple meetings, I designed several batches of logos redesigns.
I created a process book in conjunction to the redesigning of LPC, and when I completed my work, I created a book detailing new branding guidelines.
The purpose of my design was to make the logo inclusive and produce representation for the diverse student body. This became a challenge due to the client's need for the preservation of elements of the original LPC logo, which is an illustration of two white children.
The face in my proposed logo is a silhouette to provide both gender and racial ambiguity.
At the completion of my project, I designed a brand book for Little People's College. In this book, I detail the color palette, typographic system, proper usage of the logo and examples of merchandise to propose to the client.
